I had the same question and found two books that are soon to be released:

Designer/2000                          0-201-63444-9 
Introduction to Object Designer/2000 0-201-63445-7

Both are published by Addison Wesley Longman and are retail $39.75.

I have not been able to find them locally, but did find them online at http://www.wordbench.com
(under Addison Wesley). However, they may not be available. I haven't emailed the book store yet.
