Dear netters,

     To solve the connect internal problems, there are several advice :

  1. Check the Oracle password file to find whether the owner has sufficient privilege if you use OS Authentication.
  2. Check the OS password file to find whether the owner is in DBA group
  3. Check whether TWO_TASK is set. (If yes, it may cause above problem)
  4. But I think the cause of the above problem is : The mode of the directory $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms is 644 which is required according to the installation guide.

   The mode should be 744 when you connect internal.
