QUESTION:where are oracle 7.0 files in win95?

please help/explain the following problem: I have created a VERY simple (1 table) databsae using personal oracle 7.0 for win95 and wish to open this database via perl scripts (ie.. oraperl)..when I name the table "mytable"..then exit oracle....I find no file called "mytable" to work with in perl..(via &ora_login)..I'm sure I'm doing something very wrong but any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED...thanks for your time
