I've just upgraded my SparcStation 20 (single 75 MHz processor) with a HyperSPARC module consisting of two 125 MHz processors. I have Oracle 7.2 installed running with Solaris 2.4. My question:
Does anyone on the net have a set of appropriate benchmarking tests using SQL-commands for the above environment that shows the superior performance of the multi-processor HyperSPARC module as compared to a single processor system?
Does Oracle 7 itself support multi-threading or is load-sharing delegated to Solaris 2.4 on a process by process basis?
