Visual Basic RDO/Oracle 7

Whilst you are having troubles with Visigenics, we are having trouble with the Openlink drivers. I am surprised there is not more discussion of this topic. Nothe that you must have VB version 4.0a which fixes some rdo bugs but we are still in the queue waiting and waiting. Also True Grid has been a thorn but i know they have fixed many promlems and new versions have been made available. We are on our thire version of Openlink, they can't do much for us until we get VB 4.0a. Our problems are (a) lash of real world code examples (b) unable to get complex query results down from the erver (some sort of row or buffer limit is operating (c) problems in the multi user environment with rdo timing out - doen not happen if only one user (after hours etc) (d) oracle broker stops for no reason on the NT server. (e) likely interaction of multiple queries caused by True Grid refreshes which happen behind the scenes. (e) Problems with our understanding of the object technology.
Note that through all this SQL*Plus on sql*net does not stop working. Also I and my team have been building Oracle databases and getting the indexes right etc etc sinde before 1992.
