Its safer to have logs multiplexed on seperate disks, By Oracle.

I ve seen mirrors trash... at least if something goes wrong when oracle writes to the members, it ll tell you if something goes wrong, with mirrors thats another story. Since redologs are 'rather' important its better to play safe here, if you have the possibility to do both mirroring and multiplexen, go for it.
