ODBC problem, need help

I'm trying to use ODBC (Oracle 7.0 driver) to connect to Oracle 7.0.16.6.5 in my Novell server. I use SQL*NET 1.1.1.0 and SQLPME 2.2.15. I defined the data source in Windows 3.11 with a connect string of X:MAESTROSRV. When I try a test connection I get message :

[oracle][odbc oracle driver][oracle oci]ORA-03112: Host string syntax error.

Can anybody help please ???
This is my first experience with ODBC.
