OCI Question: Date, Time ....

Hi,

I am having big trouble in getting a way to manipulate the DATE type through OCI. When an application needs to get the Time portion from a column which is a date type, and the NLS_DATE_FORMAT is defaulted to DD-MON-YY. I cannot find a way to do this through OCI.

Can anyone give me some advice on this?

I greatly appricate your help.
