Greetings: concerning the choice of a database for a company in the web business I would suggest that you look forward and see how well the database platform expects to manage the multimedia objects. Try to see what are the products each major is going to market soon and what is the technology track used. Check with Oracle about a multimedia engine and also with Informix that has plans to integrate Illustra soft. You may also check with other soft vendors.
