Power Objects: Can't connect to Oracle Server

I have just installed Power Objects and I am trying to create a session that links to my Oracle Server. I am getting the error message: ORA-12154 TNS: Could not resolve service name. I am able to connect to the oracle server using SQLPLUS and I can ping it with TNSPing. Does OPO expect the TNSNAMES.ORA file to be in a different place?
Oracle Power Obects v1.04
Oracle Server 7.2.3 on Digital Unix.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
