If you are resetting the Translation property, you don't need to do the UpdateList(). The UpdateList() method is for those occasions when the recordset that supports the list gets out of sync with the list.
If you want to update the contents of the list with the updated results of the SQL query for the Translation property, you might want to try re-setting the Translation property.
