When you perform a "connect internal" from the sqldba tool, you are
actually
logging in to the account named "sys." You should definitely have a
non-default
password for this account. You didn't mention what platform you are
operating
on. However, in the unix world, the only a limited set of users are able
to perform
"connect internal" without a password from sqldba. They are the users
whose unix accounts are in the unix group called "dba" (assuming you
didn't create a different group when you installed Oracle). Therefore
non-dba users should not be allowed into the unix dba group.
