I would encourage you to try OPO. I'm building our property management system with it and find it pretty nice. It's not really that buggy (especially v1.0.16), at least compared to all of 4D's "features." Though it may suffice for your app, Blaze is very slow and incomplete. Consider using Personal Oracle7 for PowerMac instead. If it needs to be multi-user then you'd have to anyway since Blaze is single-user.

4D vs. OPO is a tough call. 4D is more complete but is very non-standard and proprietary. If you think you'll want to upgrade to a real Oracle dbms or you like objects, OPO wins. My experience with tech support in both companies favors Oracle heavily, but my ACI days are long gone. Good luck,
