demo _at_ ftp.oracle.com ?

I found out about a working demo version of oracle on the ftp server ftp.oracle.com. It looks to be about 12 Meg of files and when it expands it could be as much as 60 Meg. I just wanted to check with the news group to see if it is worth my time doing this. Has anyone downloaded it. How did it work? What are some of those other programs in ftp://ftp.oracle.com/pub/tools. It would be great to find out more about these programs before downloading them!
