Can I use GNU C for ProC on HP-UX?

Hello all -

Can GNU C (gcc) be used with Oracle (7.1.6) ProC on a HP-UX (9.07)? I'd rather not have to buy the HP C compiler for $1200. I have the InterWorks gcc (2.5.7) (which is already built) or the tarball of the current version (2.7.2). Which can &| should I use?
