big tables performance (76+ GB)

I am running a Digital Alpha 8400 with ORACLE V7.1 and I need to create a 76 GB table on it. This table will be be queried remotelly and should also transfer 500.000+ data registers every 6 hours to a Pentium running ORACLE for Netware. I need to know if somebody have had any experience on this issues or provide with any reference.
Help will be really appreciated.
