Connection between Oracle and Internet!!

Hi, everybody:

  Does anybody out there know how to write a HTML web page as front end and retrieve data from an Oracle database server? Normally, we use Visual Basic or Power Builder kind of things to be front end and send SQL requests or Oracle calls to the server. Now I hope to use Web page instead. Do I need to write some APIs as interface between Oracle and HTML by myself or there already exists some tools I can use to accomplish this?

Any experiences sharing or opinions are welcome and appreciated!
