That is true if you delete your tables before importing them. If not, you will get as many extents as you had before. Or maybe more, because of chaining and use of the freespace in blocks.

Yes, if you want to create bigger tables and indexes (bigger extents). But the export file containes those scripts. So if the tables dosen't exist, they will be created during the import.
