Is there a way I can disable writing to the rollbacks???

I am trying to move long raw data from one database to another. I have a Pro C program which does this, but it is extremely slow. I suspect that the rollback segments are the culprit. Is there a way in Oracle that I can disable the rollbacks temporarily while the rows are inserted? Currently it will take me approximately 50 hours to move 1200 records.
