Hi,

The answer is *YES*. The connect string is usually '2:' or whatever alias you gave your local database. You can treat the Personal Oracle 7 database instance as just another database that you can connect to, and do work with (...well, not exactly, as this database can't act as a server to other clients, but for testing of application functionality, it is equivalent to the other Oracle RDBMS products).
