Hi Folks:

I'm a consultant working on a project that requires me to develop an interface to the RDBMS that has non-blocking attributes. I've recently got involved with the 7.2 beta release which promises non-blocking at the OCI level. I've tried building sample apps using the non-blocking mode but I have not been successful. I'm on an NT intel platform and wish to implement non-blocking on intel Windows 3.1 client stations as well. Seems the 7.2 beta release is shipped with Pro*C 2.1 which included libs and dlls for NT so I can build apps using VC 2.1. I need to build apps using VC 1.52 so I built libs using the 16bit DLLs for windows and linked with those libs instead. I'm not sure I doing the right thing here, but I also though I could try build win32s apps for windows 3.1 as well. My question to anyone outthere is, has anyone built a successfull implementation of non-blocking OCI calls to the RDBMS in both the NT 32bit form, Windows Win32s form and Windows 16bit form.

Thanks. Received on Wed Oct 04 1995 - 00:00:00 CET
