HELP: sqlplus leaves zombie procs

Hi,

I am new to Oracle. We are having a strange problem with our oracle server. When I login to the server using sqlplus and then logout, it leaves a zombie process behind. These zombies keep accumulating untill the process table is filled up. All these zombies are owned by 'oracle'. This problem exists wheather its a local or remote login. Anybody know what's going on.

This the installed config

ORACLE7 Server Release 7.0.16.6.0
Unthreaded server running on SunOS 4.1.3
