Enterprise Edition is still a client in the client server world.
No listener so no one will be tempted to use it as a multi-user server on top of an inadequate underlying operating system.
Workgroup Server is the economical alternative if you need a multi-user server.
7.2 of EE will include support for Updateable Snapshots for automatic synchronizing of client and server databases, as this does not require a listener.
