AUTOCAD to Oracle linking

We want to directly access Oracle tables/views from our Autocad r12/r13. Can this be done? I understand a product ADE is out there that can access only 1 table at a time. (I hope it considers a view as a table). Has any one gotten it to work, or anything else to work. I only want to view, not update, from Autocad.
