Oracle Press puts out some good material. They are owned by Osborne (McGraw /Hill). They have a beginners introduction to Oracle (not sure of the exact title).

They also put out a complete reference called:

        Oracle, The Complete Reference, Third Edition

and a DBA Handbook called:

        Oracle DBA Handbook
