I assume you are running SQL*Net in Windows 3.1 or 3.11. If so I can say I use this configuration all the time. It seems that so long as you have a winsock compatible TCP/IP stack which can support PPP then all you need to do is install SQL*Net for a winsock compatible transport. I am using SQL*Net v2 but I am not sure if this works ok with SQL*Net v1 but I think it should.
