Oracle/AIX error

Hello all:

I'm trying to get Oracle 7.0.13 working on an IBM RS/6000 running AIX to work. The problem is that when I'm logged in as 'oracle', I can log in to Oracle without any problems. When I'm logged in as any user other than Oracle (haven't tried root, don't know the password), I get the following:

ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available.
ORA-07320: smsget: shmat error when trying to attach sga. IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 13: Permission denied Additional information: 3
--

I thought it might be a file permission error, so I opened up the permissions on _every_ directory/file under /home/oracle. No dice.

After almost a week (and 1/2 of my hair), I still can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
