Problems in using OLE

hi

        i've got a lot of problems using OLE in Developer 2000 ie Forms4.5 i've inserted a file manually during runtime and saved it into the database. i got the message 1 transation record applied and saved. but i'm unable to retrieve it back, coz when i do a master-detail relation, i managed to get back that record, but when i double-click on the OLE item, nothing happens--i've checked the property sheet that it is to be activated by double-clicking. i've even called up the OLE's menu but the option for Editing/Open the file is not there, so i suspect that i didn't managed to insert it into the database. i've checked the database that that record is there but can't see the file since it's described as long raw. can anyone please help?
