I'm having trouble getting OO4O to work with Borland C++ 4.5 as well. Apparently, I've got the incompatible OO4O libs. I've sent mail directly to Mark (see below) but am in a bit of a hurry to get the updated libraries. If anyone else knows of an FTP site I can download them from I'd be very grateful.
