I'm about to install Oracle 7.1.6 on a SPARC 20 Dual Processor with a 6Gb Storage Array running Solaris 2.4.
We are benchmarking some internally developed software and obviously want the best results. Anyone got any configuration tips, specifically:
- how do we best make use of the RAID box? (Or is this s non-starter)
- should we use raw partitions?
