Don't know much about your situation, but depending on the data that you may lose, another option is:
Set the init.ora parameter
_corrupted_rollback_segments=rollback_segment_that_is_bad
Start the instance, then export, re-create and re-import. The reason that you need to do this is that the rollback segments may contain info from the system tables that can bite you in the (*) later (or sooner) on. ORACLE will also not help you through other problems unless you rebuild the database, if you have used this init.ora parameter...
Then again, depending on the amount of data...recovery may be better!
