Hi!
Has anyone run into a problem with Oracle not releasing memory after a Query is completed!.
Our Oracle Server has 128Meg of Memory and 8 Gig of Disk. When the server is first brought up it has 117Meg available once the server is up. After loading Oracle the Memory drops to 100Meg because of the SGA. The balance of the memory very quickly disappears even when only 1 or 2 users are executing large but relatively simple queries. The memory chewed up by the query is never released and can't be located with ps, vstat, top etc...
If anyone has heard of anything like this please let me know.
