I recently completed an online documentation project using Oracle Book Designer (OBD) an authoring tool and Oracle Book (OB) a document viewer, both found in Oracle 7. Although the results using OBD and OB are ok, they are somewhat limited in their capabilities and fall far short of other online documentation tools now widely available. Is Oracle planning to update Book Designer and/or Book to bring it more in line with other authoring tools on the market? Also, are there any third-party documentation authoring tools that can be used in an Oracle environment?
