What in the world is going on with Oracle documentation prices? I'm leaving my current company (that gets the docs free) for a consulting position. Imagine my surprise when the Oracle price list arrived! Even the single sheet form letter "Welcome to Oracle..." has a part number and a $5 price tag! Anyone have any idea why Oracle is one of the few major software firms that uses documentation as a major revenue source? To add insult to injury, the $200 for 3 manuals has an $18 charge added on for S&H! I'm assuming one of Oracle's VPs jumps into a car and drives the order right to my door...
Anyone else steamed by inflated Oracle documentation prices?
