ORACLE Access in OS/2 DOS BOX?

Can anyone using OS/2 let me know if you can access ORACLE from within an OS/2 DOS VDM? I write COBOL reports using PRO*COBOL for DOS end-users, and want to move to an OS/2 development system, but if I cant use the DOS VDM to access ORACLE, doesnt make any sense to move...
