I am not a member, however, there is an ORACLE Special Interest Group called MOSES (Massively Open Systems Environments (I think)). They specialize in developing giga- and terra-byte databases running on UNIX. I have a list somewhere of the members; the only one I recall is Burlington Coat Factory. I suspect the MOSES group could answer your questions, I'll dig around for a member list.
