oraperl and solaris 2.3

Has anyone gotten oraperl to compile under Solaris 2.3? I'm using perl 4.036, Oracle 7.0.15.4.0 and version 2 patchlevel 4 of oraperl.

When compiling. I get loader errors even when trying to use the proc.mk in $ORACLE_HOME/proc/demo. The sample Pro*C and OCI programs compile fine.
