In response to your question, Oracle Forms generated under MS Windows platform will run without modification and access data on your target server platform (h/w) using :

  1. XVISION (commercial software) for Windows will allow you to run your Windows Oracle Forms and access the HP server (appropriate comm software required, ie. TCP/IP and/or SPX/IPX on both platforms) .
  2. REACHOUT (commercial software) for Windows will allow you to run your Windows Oracle Forms from your laptop dial-in . REACHOUT must run on both the laptop and your dial-in PC (once dialed in you are in effect connected as if you were at your PC with all servers available; ditto for comm software).
