Oracle Errors

We are using a ORACLE OEM's package tht is reporting the following errors from time to time on a client app. Clearly the application is having some timeout problems with the server. Can some one share a cookbook approach to tuning SQL NET over TCP/IP???

	SQL Error: ORA-06124: NETTCP: timeout waiting for ORASRV
	SQL Error: ORA-06124: (Cnct err, can't get err txt.  See Servr
