Oracle 7/6 coexisting with SqlNet 1x

We are currently attempting to run an Oracle 6 and Oracle 7 instance on the same box. Is it possible to run multiple instances in this senerio with a common orasrv process for sqlnet 1x access to both databases ? If so, which orasrv process should be used? Version 6 or 7 distribution ? They do not appear to be the same! Additionally, can one also have Oracle7 linked with the sqlnet 2x libraries ?
Experiences would be very helpfull.
