How long do your exports take?

We have an Oracle instance, whose full exports and imports take a very long time to complete. I'm curious about how long exports of a similar size take on different systems. Our situation:

	hardware:  VAX 7630
	OS:        VMS 5.5-2
	Oracle     v 7.0.15
	total size of database files from the OS point of view: 7.6 Gb
	size of full export file: 1.6 Gb
	time to do a full export: 9 hours
	time to do a full import: 37 hours

I realize that the elapsed time depends on alot of factors, but any input would be appreciated. Thanks...
