I seem to recall if Oracle does not find the CONFIG environment
variable defined, it will look for one called CONFIG_FILES or
something similar. Try pointing this var to your CONFIG.ORA
     or ORACLE.INI file.

Note that at the end of the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, you should
get rid of the CONFIG var by setting:

              SET CONFIG=

This way, Oracle will not find the CONFIG var and go looking
     where it shouldn't.

Try a third party memory manager such as QEMM from Quarterdeck.
Oracle supports thier particular brand of expanded memory.
I think the MACHINE-TYPE is set to J for this.

Not that I can see. SQLPME is a bit more forgiving of slightly
      odd PC architectures.

SQL*Plus runs under MS-Windows and the Runform and runmenu
can also be run under Windows. Any chance we will see
      a Windows version of SQL*Dba ? ? ? ? ?
