Yes, the problem is Oracle does not provide an Xterminal .r or is it a .res file? They do provide a .r editor (Oraterm1.0) but have yet to deliver an .res editor (Oraterm2.0) even though sqldba uses .res files.

Try an export=VT100 then invoking it.
