I second that... We're trying to do a dynamic reallocation during a bulk data load but we can't guarantee the resizing. We have a TAR on this with Oracle but they need more information in order to help us. The data in DBA_SEGMENTS, DBA_FREE_SPACE and DB_EXTENTS is useful but we really need to know how Oracles space allocation algorithm is implemented.
