Anyone out there with experience or information on PC-based packages that allow scanning Bar Coded labels directly or indirectly into an Oracle database ?
The specific need of a colleague of mine is to put labels on rack-mounted panels that can then be tracked as to their location by first scanning the panel (unique id) label and associate its location by scanning a location label (unique id) by the panel. Simple inventory of panels and where they are in the building.
Gun-type of reader required.
