Hi world,
I have an index which has a very weird identifier :
SQL> select index_name, table_name from user_indexes 2 where table_name = 'AGENDA';
INDEX_NAME TABLE_NAME ------------------------------ ------------------------------ agenda AGENDA
I thought that all objects where case insensitive ? In fact the sql statement that creates the statement is as follows :
sqlplus scott/tiger << EOF
Drop table Agenda;
Create table Agenda(
ID number not null, eventtypeid number not null, producerid number not null, programid number not null, contractid number not null, eventdate date, alarmdate date, marked number);
Create index "agenda$alarmdate" on agenda(alarmdate);
Drop sequence s_agenda;
EOF
The double quotes around agenda$alarmdate are to prevent the ksh to look to
its environment variable $alarmdate and I just realise it should be a single
quote, but anyway : why does this index gets created in lowercase ?
