We are putting into place a Revision Control System for a project involving

around 30 developers using C, UNIX shell scripts and Oracle's RDBMS (6.0....)
and tools (SQL*Menu, SQL*Forms, SQL* ReportWriter, SQL*Plus scripts, etc).
We've looked at SCCS, RCS and a commercial product name PVCS by Intersolv. I
think I can safely say we have ruled out SCCS.

I know about the problems of using any of these products with the .rex files of SQL*ReportWriter where keywords are expanded (and thanks to people on the net we have a script that recomputes the line lengths correctly).

What I am looking for is:

  1. Anyone who has used PVCS and their impressions (usefulness, user friendliness, support, vs. RCS, etc.);
  2. RCS/Oracle users and their experiences (good, bad, ugly);

Your assistance is appreciated.
