Oh ye of little faith.

The major new features of Oracle CASE Dictionary 5.1 are (very briefly):

  • Client-Server application design, generation and regeneration
  • Distributed Database design, generation and regeneration
  • ORACLE7 support (eg stored procedures, functions, database triggers, snapshots, etc.)
  • Generation, regeneration and reverse engineering of ORACLE7 server designs
  • Database design to entity-relationship model retrofit utility
  • A PL/SQL API (initially supporting analysis objects only)
  • Graphical user interface (built using Oracle Forms 4)
  • New Document element
  • New reports eg Application Metrics (using Function Point Analysis), Application Version Comparisons.
