I want to use end-of-line to terminate a string that will be loaded by the ORACLE loader. The string contains blanks. I tried using the hexadecinal format to identify the delimitor:

  terminated by X '0a'

The loader claims it can't find the delimitor. If I instead use:

  terminated by X '40'

and tack "_at_" to the ends of all my lines everything is hunky-dorey. Why is ORACLE being so mean to me? Received on Thu Jul 15 1993 - 10:58:43 CEST
