General Protection Fault, SQL*Net 1.1 on novell

Just got the new SQL*Net ver 1.1 dynamic link libs for the PC.
Our PCs are running of Novell's Lan WorkPlace 4.1. Managed to
install the software sucessfully, and tried to use it with
oracleCard ver 1.1. Keeps getting General Protection Fault
in wlibsock.dll after logging in and (apparently) loading in the
DLL.
Stuff already checked:
win.ini contains device=vtcpip.386
support files ver 6 and ver 7 installed (different directories)
path set to point to these (in both orders, 6 b4 7 and 7 b4 6)
SQLPlus for windows causes the same fault.
All my other windows/network software (mail, terminal emulators, etc)
work fine.
Any idea?
